Aaron James “A. J.” Hawk, also known as A.J Hawk, is an American sports analyst. The multi-talented individual is also a former American Football player. He was a linebacker in the National Football League for eleven seasons. Aaron played for the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV.

A. J Hawk was born in Kettering, Ohio, on January 6, 1984. He is one of Keith Hawk’s three children with his wife, Judy Hawk. Hawk has two older brothers, Ryan and Brady Hawk. In their youth, both of his brothers played football. Aaron attended Ohio State University after graduating from Centerville Elks High School.

He signed his last contract with the Atlanta Falcons in 2016 for $985,000 for one year. Hawk announced his retirement on a podcast with Albert Breer on January 7, 2017.

Hawks married his longtime girlfriend, Laura Quinn, in 2007. Before tying the knot, the couple had been dating for several years. Laura Quinn is the sister of Brady Quinn, a former NFL quarterback. Aaron and Laura are the parents of four children.

NFL Career of A.J. Hawks

Aaron began playing football in high school and still holds a number of high school football records. In high school, Hawk was a two-time All-State selection. The Green Bay Packers selected him in the fifth round in 2006. He agreed to a six-year deal with the team. Hawks finished third in the Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year voting.

Hawk was a member of the 2011 Super Bowl XLV winning team. His contract with the team was extended until 2015. Cincinnati Bengals signed a two-year contract and began playing with the team in March 2015. The following season, he signed a one-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons, but he did not play a single game and soon announced his retirement. He co-hosts the final hour of McAfee’s daily radio show, The Pat McAfee Show, after retiring from football.
