He appeared in 23 games with the Indiana Pacers during the 1977-78 season. On average, he scored 26.6 points per game. He was dealt to the Los Angeles Lakers in December of the same year.

During the 1977-78 season, he appeared in 56 games for the Los Angeles Lakers. He averaged 19.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Injuries plagued him the next year, as he only played in 60 games. Despite appearing in every game and averaging 17.3 points, he was eventually dealt to the Utah Jazz.
