His other studies began with a focus on the legal origins idea. Shleifer was also dubbed a “superb economist” who “worked in the traditional Chicago style of developing simple models, focusing on basic economic mechanisms, and thoroughly examining the evidence……the path of his research is the role of markets, governments, and institutions.” LSV Asset Management was created by Shleifer and his colleagues, who are academicians and behavioral finance experts. All allegations against Zimmerman and Hebert were dropped in 2001. Harvard, Shleifer, and the Department of Justice reached a tentative settlement in August 2005, in which the university agreed to pay $26.5 million to settle a five-year-old case. Despite the fact that Shleifer did not attempt or accept responsibility for any wrongdoing, he was forced to pay $2 million.
