Butch Hartman is an American animator, writer, producer, director, and voice actor known for his work on Nickelodeon’s The Fairly Odd Parents, Danny Phantom, T.U.F.F. Puppy, and Bunsen Is a Beast. He also owns Billonfold lnc, which is responsible for the production of the shows. For the past 16 years, he has served as executive producer on The Fairly OddParents.

Elmer Earl Hartman IV, his birth name, was born in Highland Park, Michigan, on January 10, 1965. Hartman is of Caucasian ancestry, holds an American nationality, and is a Christian. Hartman was named after his father, Elmer Earl Hartman, who died in 2012. Carol Davis, his mother, is also his mother. He has three younger brothers, the names of whom are unknown.

His boyhood was spent in Roseville, Michigan, and his adolescence was spent in New Baltimore, Michigan. As a child, he was given the moniker Butch, which he continued to use professionally as an adult. He went on to Anchor Bay High School, where he received his diploma in 1983. He went on to the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California, after that. When he was a student, he earned over $3000 on The Match Game Hollywood Squares Hour.

Professional Life and Career

While still a student at the California Institute of Arts, Butch began his career as an animator in an internship show for the film Don Bluth. After that, he was hired by a company as a designer and storyboard artist after graduating from college. However, because he lacked experience, things did not go well, and he was fired from his position. Then he was hired by Ruby-Spears, another animation studio, where he worked on Pocahontas-style animations.

In 1990, he teamed up with Hanna Barbera to further his career by taking on the roles of writer, director, and storyboard artist. He worked on a number of animated films, including Cow& Chicken, Dexter Laboratory, and Johnny Bravo. This made him successful, but he signed an expiring contract, forcing him to join Nickelodeon Channel, where he collaborated with Siebert on a number of well-known cartoon characters.

After forming the Old Fairy Parents in 1997, she gained notoriety and popularity. When it first aired on television, this sitcom was a huge hit. Nickelodeons offered him jobs on Planet Sheen, Danny Phantom, and TUFF Puppy because of his unique skills and the popularity of his work. Butch was accused of plagiarism in the year 2021 after sharing his authorized artwork of Attack on Titan character Mikasa Ackerman, which resembled a 2018 artwork by a Japanese artist. According to the artist, Hartman did not obtain permission.
