Curtis Armstrong was born on September 27, 1953 .Robert Leroy Armstrong and Norma E. Armstrong, a teacher, are the parents of Curtis Armstrong. He was born and raised in Michigan, attending Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, after graduating from Berkley High School.

In 1983, Armstrong made his screen debut in Paul Brickman’s Golden Globe-nominated film “Risky Business,” . He  also  starred Tom Cruise, Rebecca De Mornay, and Joe Pantoliano. He went on to play supporting roles in “Revenge of the Nerds” (1984) with Anthony Edwards, Robert Carradine, and Timothy Busfield, as well as in “Better Off Dead…”. Also Curtis portrayed Herbert Quentin Viola in 37 episodes of the Golden Globe-winning series “Moonlighting” from 1986 to 1989. In the interim, he also  made appearances in two Oscar-nominated films, “One Crazy Summer” (1986) with John Cusack and Demi Moore, and “The Clan of the Cave Bear” (1986) with Daryl Hannah, Pamela Reed, and James Remar. .
