But at some time prior to or during the ceremony, she quickly altered the pixie cut for unruly half-up blonde curls. Hairstylist Jared Henderson published a behind-the-scenes video showing how he used the GHD Platinum + Styler Flat Iron, an Allure Hall of Famer, to zigzag her front-facing parts.

Henderson, however, initially used the GHD Helios Professional Hair Dryer to blow-dry Doja’s wet hair. He then divided the hair into two halves, knotted and twisted up the top section into a messy bun, and straightened only the two strands hanging free in the front, according to a press release shared with Allure.

If you’re wondering how Henderson did it, it was because of the Ghostbond XL wig adhesive, which allowed for a smooth transition from a pixie wig to Targaryen lengths. Before applying thin layers of Ghostbond XL to the scalp, Henderson told Allure that he used Professional Hair Labs Ultra Safe Citrus Remover to remove the pixie wig. The Ghostbond XL held Doja’s blonde lace wig in place for the duration of her Grammys performance.
