Herman Cain is a Georgia-based politician and author who has also worked as a corporate executive, radio personality, syndicated columnist, and Tea Party activist. He ran for the Republican presidential nomination in the United States in 2012. Between 1981 to 1988, he worked as a business executive for Burger King and Godfather’s Pizza, both Pillsbury Company subsidiaries. Year of 1989 to 1996, he was chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Omaha, deputy chairman, and then chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Between 1996 and 1999, he was the CEO and president of the National Restaurant Association. He has also served on the boards of directors of Aquila, Inc., Nabisco, Whirpool, Reader’s Digest, and AGCO, among others. Later in life, he became involved in politics. Cain died in July 2020 as a result of COVID-19 complications.

Herman Cain, a former US presidential contender, died after contracting COVID-19. In Atlanta, the former Republican President died at the age of 74 from a Coronavirus infection. It’s unclear where he got the virus, but he was among the lawmakers who attended Donald Trump’s Tulsa event on June 20, 2020.Cain didn’t wear a mask or maintain a social distance while at the event.   • He then served as chairman of the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Omaha Branch from January 1989. He became a member of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 1992.
  • Cainserved as deputy chairman from January 1992 to December 1994.
  • He then served as its chairman from January 1994 to August 1996.
