The sad news was shared on social media by AEW founder Tony Khan, who purchased the Ring of Honor promotion last March…. writing “Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Jay Briscoe was a ROH superstar for over 20 years, from the first show to the present.”

Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions to this day. We’ll do whatever we can to support his family.

Jay, whose real name is Jamin “Jay” Pugh, joined ROH in 2002 and went on to form one of the greatest tag teams in pro wrestling history with his brother, Mark.
