Personal Existence

On May 18, 2020, Charlo was arrested for domestic assault for allegedly choking and striking his former girlfriend, Jazmyne Olison. Olison told police that the incident occurred “on or about” May 17. Charlo was released the same day after posting a $20,000 bond. On March 20th, it was reported that a jury in Dallas, Texas found Jermell Charlo not guilty of two counts of domestic violence against an ex-girlfriend.

Charlo will now concentrate on returning to the ring and attempting to reclaim boxing gold, as he has a contractually obligated rematch with Harrison scheduled for later this year, possibly in June.
