Jose Romulo Sosa Ortiz, better known by his stage name Jose Jose, was a well-known Mexican singer, actor, and musician. People in Mexico City erected a statue of Jose Jose since he was a legend in his genre and style.

Ortiz was born in Mexico City on February 17, 1948, and died in Miami on September 28, 2019. He was born in the sign of Aquarius. His nationality was Mexican, and he was of mixed heritage.

Death, Cause, and Funeral

Ortiz, called “Prince of Song,” a Mexican musician who brought audiences to tears with his melancholy love ballads is no longer with us. He died at the age of 71 following a two-year battle with cancer.

The Ministry of Culture expressed their condolences on his death via Twitter. “From the Ministry of Culture, we express our condolences on the demise of singer Jose Romulo Sosa, better known as Jose Jose of the prince of the song,” they wrote on Twitter. EI Triste’s singer has been one of Mexico’s most popular voices since the beginning of his career. “May you rest in peace.”
