Josh is a self-taught musician who trained himself to play guitar and keyboards as well as taking drum lessons when he was younger. Josh’s debut studio album, “You Come and Go Like a Pop Song…”, was released in 1999 as a member of the American alternative rock band The Bicycle Thief.
In 2004, Klinghoffer and then-Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante released Shadows Collide with People as a John Frusciante solo CD. He stayed in the studio with Frusciante until the first six months of 2004. He also appeared on old bandmate Bob Forrest’s latest studio album with Thelonious Monster, California Clam Chowder, in the same year.
