Kathy Griffin reignites Andy Cohen feud in time for the new year

Should an old acquaintance be forgotten and never remembered? No way, not if you’re Kathy Griffin.

Griffin revived a footage Saturday of Bravo boss Andy Cohen pretending not to remember her in 2017 after replacing her as CNN’s New Year’s Eve co-host in what has become a bitter New Year’s Eve ritual.

“Ugh. “Every year around New Year’s Eve, someone gives me this clip,” Griffin, 62, wrote in the description.

“For years, this guy was my boss. I chose whether or not to work at Bravo. Can you image seeing your ex-boss like this on TMZ? Ouch! Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing Miley and Dolly tonight.”

The Washington Post reached out to a Cohen representative for comment on Saturday.

A TMZ reporter confronts Cohen about winning the ball drop gig alongside Anderson Cooper in the October 2017 clip, which earned up 13,000 likes on Griffin’s ‘gram in a matter of hours Saturday.

“Have you talked to Kathy at all in the meantime? Did you consult with her before accepting it?” Cohen replied, “Who?” to the reporter’s question.

“Kathy Griffin!” the interviewer says again, to which he responds, “Who?”

“I don’t know who she is,” Cohen, 54, says.

As the reporter tries to clarify who he means by “Kathy Griffin,” referring to her as the “ex-host,” he is astounded that the talk show host refuses to accept he knows his former colleague. Cohen, who has a goofy grin for the camera, said he has no idea why it is news to him.

At the time, the “Watch What Happens Live” presenter admits to doing a mediocre Mariah Carey impression.

Griffin co-hosted CNN’s New Year’s Eve extravaganza for nearly a decade before being fired in 2017.

The outspoken comedian was dismissed when a photo of her clutching a decapitated head like Donald Trump’s went viral. Griffin lost a number of celebrity pals, including Cohen.

She has since referred to Cohen as “one of the worst bosses I’ve ever had,” claiming he “treated me like a dog.” Griffin worked at Bravo from 2005 to 2013, starring in the reality series “My Life on the D-List” and presenting her own talk show, “Kathy.”

She escalated their feud earlier this year when she revealed she “hate-watched” Cohen and Cooper get married in 2022.

Cooper and Cohen have previously poured down shots on-air, only to be decimated by the time the clock strikes midnight. However, the two are apparently starting dry January one night early — they will not be drinking booze during their typically inebriated tomfoolery-filled program.

“We’re not drinking, but we’re going to have a BLAST,” Cohen said this week to Page Six.

Griffin, on the other hand, has decided to watch a pair she adores instead this year: Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus. The renowned combo will kick off New Year’s Eve on NBC and Peacock, promising a “legendary” performance.
