The former child star Lance Kerwin appeared in episodes of the TV shows “Gunsmoke,” “Little House on the Prairie,” and “Wonder Woman.”

Former child star Lance Kerwin, who was known for the television series James at 15, Salem’s Lot, and The Loneliest Runner, has passed away. He was 62.

According to his daughter Savanah, Kerwin passed away on Tuesday morning. No specific cause of death was given.

In the 1976 NBC made-for-TV film The Loneliest Runner, directed by Michael Landon, he played the younger version of Landon’s character, a boy who enjoys running. Following that, he played the lead in the network’s 20-episode drama series James at 15 (later renamed James at 16), which debuted in 1977.

Salem’s Lot, a 1979 television horror miniseries based on Stephen King’s book of the same name, costarred Kerwin, David Soul. And James Mason. There were three Emmy nominations for the project.

On November 6, 1960, Kerwin, the youngest of five brothers, was born in Newport Beach, California.

Additionally, he made guest appearances in episodes of the 1970s editions of Emergency!. Little House on the Prairie, Gunsmoke, Wonder Woman, and The Bionic Woman.

Later TV roles played by Kerwin included those in The New Lassie, Murder, She Wrote, Simon & Simon, Trapper John, M.D., Children of Divorce, Insight, and Trapper John, M.D.

He was serving as a pastor in Hawaii in the 1990s after giving up acting. Although in 2021, a GoFundMe page was created to raise money for Kerwin. As he battled health problems, including a back injury.

Savanah, along with his wife Yvonne and five children, survives Kerwin. His family will soon make an announcement regarding a funeral service.
