After being released from prison, Mario Tabraue established his own zoo, the Zoological Wildlife Foundation, which houses exotic wildlife such as tigers, cheetahs, lions, leopards, chimps, pythons, sloths, and jaguars.

That’s right, the former drug-dealing mafia Maria Tabraue has moved on from his past, despite the fact that his criminal history shows him to be a dangerous man on the loose. Anyway, since his release from prison in 2001 after serving only 12 years of a 100-year sentence, the hooligan has found a new love and settled down.

Speaking of the Tiger King cast, Mario Tabraue is currently dating Vanessa Castellanos, a young actress. Mario and Vanessa both live in Florida, where they own and operate the Zoological Wildlife Foundation. Tabraue serves as the zoo’s director and president.

Vanessa is very young in comparison to Mario, but the two haven’t let their age difference interfere with their love. Both aren’t afraid to brag about each other on Instagram. Vanessa isn’t the only woman who has lived in Mario Tabraue’s life.

The former drug lord had two previous marriages. Tabraue was accused of hiring hitmen to murder his first wife while the couple was divorcing. Indeed, it is believed that Mario hired hitmen to murder his first wife after she threatened to expose him by providing evidence of his deeds.

The judge, on the other hand, did not find him guilty and dismissed the case. Tabraue also has grown-up children with both of his ex-wives. And, based on his Instagram, Mario appears to have moved on from his past and is happy.

Controversies and Scandals in the Life of Mario Tabraue

Mario Tabraue’s life is nothing short of a movie script. Where do we even begin? To begin, Tabraue previously sold drugs and even ran a cocaine and marijuana business with his father, Guillermo Tabraue.

And, with the success of his drug-trafficking empire worth more than $75 million, Mario illegally established his own zoo ranch where he secretly stored his drugs. He kept exotic animals ranging from cobras to tigers to monkeys. In fact, the FBI was on a mission to apprehend Mario under the guise of Operation Cobra.

Finally, in 1987, Tabruaue was arrested for allegedly opening his own zoo, executing his first wife with a shotgun, and being involved in the drug trade. In addition, he was charged with the murder of a police informant, Larry Nash, who died in his car after being set on fire by his hitmen. However, he did not enter a plea in the case.

Surprisingly, it was discovered that Orlando Cicilia, Senator Marco Rubio’s brother-in-law, was also involved in his crimes and was later arrested and sentenced to 25 years in prison. Cecilia was found guilty of his role in the Tabraue father-son tax evasion scheme.

Then, in 1989, the court sentenced him to 100 years in prison, but he was released in 2000 because he worked as an informant for police officers. Mario has been free since then, and his life appears to have turned around.
