Mark Page, a former DJ for Radio 1, was found guilty of child sex charges.

In the Philippines, Mark Page, 63, was convicted guilty of attempting to organize child sex assault. He visited the nation and communicated with his victims on a webcam. He met kids as young as 12, according to testimony given at Teeside Crown Court, by using charity and business as a front.

And he was acquitted on one count of child sex offense but found guilty on the other four. On Thursday, he will be sentenced (10th March 2022). He was found guilty of two counts of abuse committed while visiting the Philippines in 2016 and 2019 using a camera that connected to his home country.

During the trial, the court heard testimony about how Page, 63, concealed his interest in underage children with his frequent business visits to the Philippines and his charitable activity. Concerns expressed regarding messaging on Facebook’s platform led to the company notifying a charity. In January 2020, Cleveland Police executed a search warrant at his residence after informing UK law police about the charity.

Before charging him, analysts looked at a tablet, a phone, and a computer tower and examined his Skype activity, SMS, bank account, and money transactions. While being questioned by the police, he did not indicate that his devices had been hacked; instead, he gave “no comment” responses. He later explained to the jury that he was shocked. Jo Kidd, the prosecutor, compared Page to other well-known pedophiles during her closing remarks to the jury.
