What is the Professional Career of Matty Lee?

In 2012, he finished his first European Junior Championship. After capturing the 3m Springboard gold that season, he went on to compete in the World Junior Championships and finished eighth on the Group B Platform. At his second European Junior Championships, he won medals in all three Group B individual events in 2013, successfully defending his 3 m championship and winning silver in the 10 m Platform and bronze in the 1 m Springboard. In 2014, he and Dan Goodfellow combined to win bronze in the 10m Synchro event in the first two legs of the FINA Diving World Series, earning him his first senior international medals.

That same year provided his maiden domestic podium finishes, though, with bronzes in the National Cup and British Championships. He was also chosen to compete at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, however due to an injury, he had to withdraw from the diving team. He competed at the first-ever 2015 European Games and defeated Russia’s Nikita Shleikher to win gold on the 10 m platform. won a bronze medal in the men’s 10 m platform event at the 2017 European Diving Championship in Kyiv and a gold medal in the mixed 10 m platform synchro with diving partner Lois Toulson. He and his diving partner Kyle won the 10 m synchro event at the 2018 British Diving Championships with a final score of 406.17, a significant advantage over the score of 388.50 for second place. With a score of 485.60, he finished second in the men’s 10 m platform event. In the mixed platform synchro event at the Beijing 2018 FINA Diving World Series, he and his partner Lois Toulson took home the bronze medal.
