Mike McCarley announced his departure from NBC Sports after nearly two decades in February 2021. In the spring of 2021, he will leave the company. McCarley has been silent about the cause behind his decision. Nonetheless, it is suspected that he made the choice when the Golf Channel’s operations were relocated from Orlando to Stamford, Connecticut, and several employees were laid off.
