Natasha Narwal and other members of Pinjra Tod participate in modest protests for women’s rights. According to sources, Natasha Narwal and other Pinjra Tod activists, including Debangana Kalita, took part in the Northeast Delhi riots in February 2020.

She and Debangana were detained by Delhi Police on May 23, 2020, after a period of time, for their claimed role in ‘communal violence.’ In addition, Natasha Narwal was charged with violating the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, or UAPA. Narwhal was taken to Tihar Jail after that.
