Pat was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York, in the United States. She is of mixed heritage and of American nationality. Capricorn is her zodiac sign. Mildred (née Knapp) was a beautician, and Andrew Andrzejewski worked in the sheet metal industry.

She has had a passion for the great arts, particularly theatre, since she was a child. Pat even took vocal lessons to improve the sound of her voice. She gave her first solo performance at Daniel Street Elementary School when she was eight years old.

  • Shifting base to New York, she became a regular at the comedy club, Catch A Rising Star for three years. She earned her first standing ovation at the Halloween night in 1977. Dressed as a cat woman of the moon, she gave a scintillating performance at the comedy club.
  • Pat increasing popularity and singing acumen earned her offers to record commercial jingles for Pepsi Cola and regional concerns. Her four-day performance at the New York City’s Tramps nightclub was much appreciated and revered, making headlines.

  • In the Heat of the Night was her first album, produced by Geraldo. Two of the album’s singles, Heartbroken and I Need a Lover, were huge hits. The album went multi-platinum.
  • After the phenomenal success of her debut album, she released the Grammy-winning Crimes of Passion in 1980. The album went platinum, solidifying her status as a rock singer. Hit Me With Your Best Shot, Treat Me Right, and ‘You Better Run’ were all hit singles.
  • In August 1981, she released Precious Time, building on the success of her first two albums. It became her third number one album, following in the footsteps of her predecessors. It went platinum with the singles Fire and Ice and Promises in the Dark.
  • Get Nervous was released in 1982. The album sold over a million copies and reached #4. Shadow of the Night was a big hit.
  • Live From Earth was her debut album in 1983. While the single, Love Is A Battlefield, rose to the 5th spot on the charts, the album remained at 13

She met Neil Giraldo, a musician and producer, after her divorce. On February 20th, 1982, the couple married. They’ve been blessed with two kids and are currently living as a family.
