In a dispute over a paternity test, Playboi Carti is accused of choking his pregnant girlfriend, leading to his detention.

On December 20, the 26-year-old rapper Playboi Carti is accused of allegedly choking his pregnant girlfriend in a row over a paternity test.
The rapper, whose real name is Jordan Carter, was detained in Georgia on suspicion of felony aggravated assault.
According to the arrest affidavit document that the outlet was able to get, the female, who claimed to be 14 weeks pregnant at the time, feared for her life.
A witness apparently tried to stop the alleged physical altercation, but the lady claims she went to her car to call 911. Carti allegedly tried to pull her out of the car and put his palm over her mouth, according to the woman’s statement.
She apparently had injuries on her neck, chest, and back when police arrived.
The rapper’s attorney has called the woman’s charges baseless and is optimistic the case will be dropped.
According to lawyer Brian Steel, Mr. Carter was wrongfully accused.
“This matter will be dismissed without any prosecution or litigation,” I told the Fulton County District Attorney’s office.
Iggy Azalea, another rapper who dated Carti, acknowledged last year that they were “not even remotely on good terms.”
In an interview, he denied taking “care” of her and their three-year-old son Onyx Kelly, instead claiming in a series of since-deleted tweets that the ex-couple has no “direct contact.”

“You’ve been mislead. I don’t f*** with a man I’m not even remotely on good terms with claiming he pays my bills. I pay my bills. Secondly saying nice things for an interview sounds great but in real life he talks to me like s*** so badly I had to stop all direct contact.”
The singer of “Black Widow” asserted that his supporters had requested her “quiet” on the interview, but he also made it apparent that his statements were “not reflective” of reality.
Iggy claimed, “His crew has been ringing me about the interview, and they’re hoping I won’t say anything because they know how I’ll respond.” I do love being referred to as a terrific mother, but I’d much rather not be mentioned at all when it isn’t indicative of what he has to say in reality.

After Carti, who divorced Iggy in late 2020, talked about his “responsibilities” as a “parent,” she responded.
He said to the publication, “I’m a father.” You understand what I mean? You are aware of how difficult it is to have children. I recently received obligations. I pay numerous invoices. And i look after a lot of people. I take care of my mother. I provide for my family. But i take care of both my son and my baby mother. There are many folks that I look after. So, I feel like i must continue.
