The Dutchman, Rob, knocked out his opponent. After that, he had a battle in Bangkok versus Lakchart, but Lakchart defeated Rob on points. Rob’s Thai experience, on the other hand, helped him win more battles once he returned to Europe. Rob recalled his defeat to Lakchart on his very first effort. As a result, Kaman gave it his all in 1985 in Amsterdam and 1987 in Japan, defeating Lackchart both times.

Championship

Rob battled Johnny Moncayo, who was the WKA World Middleweight Kickboxing Champion, in 1983. Rob gave it his all and won the match against Johnny Moncayo with a final low kick. As a result, Rob Kaman became the first American to win a global kickboxing championship. Furthermore, in 1984, Rob was defeated by Thailand’s champion, Payap Premchai.

In the middle of your career

In kickboxing, he reclaimed his world title from fellow countryman Roger Hurd. Rob returned stronger than ever, winning match after match. Rob became well-known not only in the Netherlands, but also in Japan. At the moment, his fight with Thai Lakchart was the most talked-about topic.

Apart from that, he battled some of Japan’s best fighters, including Hansu Premchai and Don Nakaya. Rob ultimately defeated KO in Amsterdam, Holland, after being defeated by Changpuek Kiatsongrit in Paris. While still the Kick Boxing World Champion in 1990, Rob had to defend his title against puncher Peter Smit; the battle went all the way to the tenth round and was completely violent. But, despite all of his efforts, Rob was unable to retain his title after losing the match. After Rob’s defeat, everyone assumed it would be his final match, but Rob was far from retiring. In 1991, he returned more stronger and fought the new WKA world champion, but Kaman couldn’t stand Luc Verheye’s lethal punches.

Rob made his film debut in 1989 with the picture Bloodfist. Don Wilson, a former Full Contact world champion, was the primary character in the film, with Rob playing a supporting role. Kaman couldn’t devote much time to his career in 1993 because he was working on a film. He appeared in films such as “Double Team” and “Maximum Risk.”

Later in Life

Rob was set to face Jean Yves Theriault, a Canadian boxer who had been the ISKA champion since 1980. Rob, on the other hand, was no less, and he won the title and halted Yves’ winning streak. When Rob was at the pinnacle of his career, he was untouchable in the middleweight division. He was the WKA Kick Boxing World Champion, ISKA Full Contact World Champion, and Muay Thai World Champion during his career.

Event that is a knockout

The first European $100,000 light-heavyweight competition in Thai boxing was held in Paris in 1995. Kazuyoshi Ishii founded this event which also happens to be the inventor of the K1 World Grand Prix. At that event, Rob faced Lavelle Robinson in the quarterfinals round. The fight did not last long as Lavelle went unconscious after five-six low kicks, and Rob won. Rob’s final match was with Jerome Turcan, who he had defeated earlier. And beating him again was not a big thing for Rob,  He got triumphant in the final and won $100000.

Retirement

In 1996 Rob chose to quit from his work; after a specified time, it felt like he had been struggling for so long, and he finally needed a rest. After retiring, he again did a movie with Jean-Claude Van Dam in 1998, and the picture was named “he Legionnaire.
