Rod Woodson was a 17-year veteran of the National Football League, including a 10-year stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was an important part of the Baltimore Ravens’ Super Bowl XXXV victory over the New York Giants.

Rod played for the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland Raiders and wore the number 26 jersey and Nike Air Bowl Trainer (shoes) throughout his career. He also holds the NFL record for defensive fumble recoveries (32) and interceptions returned for touchdowns (12), earning him the title of NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1993.

Rod also worked as an inductee at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio on August 8, 2009. He was also inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2016. Rod spent the majority of his career as a cornerback before switching to safety later in his career.
