Ryan attended Westfield High School in Houston for his educational needs. His mother got him a guitar when he was 16 years old since he was always attracted by music. He did not use it for a year, but he did use it a year later when he hitchhiked to Laredo, Texas, to work for his father.

Ryan became more interested in music after relocating to Stephenville, Texas. He also competed on Tarleton State University’s rodeo team. Southside of Heaven, one of Ryan’s most renowned songs, was written in a trailer near Stephenville.

While he was there, one of his pals invited him to the Disney Resort in Paris, France, so he purchased a one-way ticket for $100, but when he arrived, his friend had already left the company. He was stranded there with only his guitar, but he eventually returned to Texas by singing in local parks for tips.

There, he met one of his friend’s brothers, drummer Matthew “Papa” Smith, with whom he co-founded the Ruan Bingham and the Dead Horses crew. After a play at an empty pub in Fort Worth, Marc Ford approached Ryan about recording an album, and that’s how his career began.

Ryan and Anna married at Friend’s Backyard in Malibu, according to reports. They purchased all of their wedding flowers from the LA Flower Mart, and their friends assisted them in making the arrangements. Anna wore BCBG for her wedding gown, while the groom wore The Stronghold. Michelle Kang was their wedding photographer.

Following their wedding, Ryan disclosed during a March 5, 2015, performance in Austin, Texas, that he and his wife were expecting their first child together. They had a child, although little is known about him.

But, sadly, they were unable to keep their relationship going for such a long time. After 12 years of marriage, Bingham submitted the paperwork for a divorce on June 29, 2021. It was reported in September 2021 that the couple’s former residence in Topanga Canyon had been sold for a price of $2.45 million.

The couple paid a total of $1.36 million for the property when they first purchased it in 2013. They have been together long enough to produce three offspring.
