In 2001, Shooter Jennings moved to Los Angeles and became a member of the rock band “Stargunn.” He sang and played the piano in front of the band. Shooter and the other “Stargunn” musicians released their debut album, “The Only Way Up Is Down,” by the end of 2001. He sang “I’ve Always Been Crazy” in memory of his father after his death in 2002. On March 30, 2003, Shooter left “Stargunn” and began performing solo shows.

On March 24, 2009, Shooter Jennings and the.357’s released their first compilation album, “Bad Magick: The Best of Shooter Jennings and the.357’s,” which was also their fourth overall.
