Skeet Ulrich was born Bryan Ray Trout on January 20, 1970, in Lynchburg, Virginia, United States. He is of American nationality and of British-Germanic-Irish ancestry.

Concerning his parents, his mother is Carolyn Elaine Wax, the owner of a sports management group, and his father is Earl Ray Trout, a hotelier by trade.

Unfortunately, his parents divorced when he was a child. Following that, his mother remarried NASCAR driver D. K. Ulrich.

Skeet claimed that his father kidnapped him and his brother when he was six years old. They lived with his father for three years after that. They relocated to New York from Florida and Pennsylvania at the time. His father, on the other hand, had vanished from their lives. Following that, he lived with his mother and stepfather, D. K.
