Steny Hoyer is an American lawyer and politician. Since 1981, he has served as the U.S. Representative for Maryland’s 5th Congressional District.

Steny has been the House of Majority Leader since 2019. He’s the highest Democrat in the Assembly. He also serves as dean of the Maryland Congressional Delegation.
