Career

Jeff Tremaine, the editor of Big Brother magazine, used to receive tapes of Stephen performing in the Fort Lauderdale Swap Shop. He finally received a role in the MTV program Jackass. Five spin-off movies followed, including Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two, Jackass 2.5, Jackass 3D, and Jackass 3.5. They were all favorably welcomed by moviegoers.

Don’t Try This at Home was a DVD that Steve-O produced in 2001 that included all of the content that MTV had censored when the program was airing.

He was detained in 2002, and to avoid going to jail, he had to reach a deal with the Louisiana Police. In 2003, he went on tour with Bam Margera, another member of his Jackass cast. More people were detained for indecent behavior and drug possession after this tour.

Up until 2006, he and Chris Pontius co-starred in the MTV series Wildboyz. In 2005, he established Sneaux Shoes, his own shoe business.

In 2006, Stephen made his appearance in the British reality series Love Island. For the USA Network, he had his own program, Dr. Steve-O, in 2007. Both Steve-own O’s rap album Hard As a Rock and the mixed CD The Dumbest Asshole in Hip Hop were made available. In 2008, he participated in the Jackass MTV 24-Hour Takeover. He participated in the popular competition Dancing With the Stars but was eliminated after six weeks in 2009.

In 2010, he performed stand-up comedy tours across the country. Additionally, Steve-O has a YouTube channel where he frequently posts videos. About 3.9 million people subscribe to him. In 2014, he made an appearance as one of the contestants on the British reality programme The Jump.
