She also attended Cardiff School of Journalism for a postgraduate diploma in broadcast journalism. Reid made her stage debut in a play adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Spiderweb in 1982.

Susanna Reid began her career as a reporter and producer for BBC Radio Bristol before moving on to report and produce for Radio 5 Live. She then worked for BBC News 24 for two years as a reporter. Reid became a stand-in presenter for an hour one night when the 23:00 presenter was unavailable, and this post was ultimately changed into her permanent position. Reid was three months pregnant with her first kid at the time. In 1998, Reid joined the Breakfast News team as a reporter.

Reid joined ITV on March 3, 2014, to co-host Good Morning Britain with Ben Shephard and Piers Morgan every Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Piers is claimed to have shown her the true meaning of a love-hate relationship after they worked together. To this day, the three hosts the show.
