Unfortunately, the couple ran into financial difficulties after only two years of marriage and were unable to find jobs. Not only that, but in 2014, they divorced after Zoe sued for custody of their son.
Their divorce was finalized in 2016 after the couple agreed on a plan for their son to visit his parents in New Orleans and Los Angeles.

While Zoe and her ex-husband J.P. battled for custody of their son and divorce, J.P. sexually abused their boy from the age of two to six. Following the investigation, Sebastian told several law enforcement officers that his father would kill his mother if he ever spoke out about J.P.’s wrongdoing.
After J.P. was arrested without bail in the LASC Stanley Mosk Courthouse, Zoe and her son Sebastian finally received justice. If convicted, Jean-Pierre will be sentenced to life in prison.
